2004 Pierce Quantum 61' Aerial SkyBoom 29,273 Miles 1500 GPM Pump 750 Gallon Tank Detroit Series 60 Engine Regularly serviced prior to April when it was surplused. It is due for pump and ladder testing. Had a trans cooler fail and leak coolant into the transmission. Transmission and trans cooler were replaced in the last 8 months. Vehicle is not front line and has been parked in the garage. It has been out on two fires since the replacements. The trans cooler that was replaced was defective and leaked coolant into the transmission again. The mechanic said the trans cooler could be replaced again and the transmission could be flushed for about $6,000 but is unsure of the condition of the clutch packs. It is possible they are fine since the truck hasn't been driven but uncertain. The truck is being sold as-is with a $50,000 price reduction to reflect that.
