20' Confined Space Rescue Training Simulator (Converted Conex) Purpose-built confined space rescue simulator made from a 20x8x8 Conex box, set up for vertical, horizontal, and non-entry rescue drills. A great fit for fire departments, technical rescue teams, and industrial safety programs in oil and gas, construction, wastewater, and environmental work. The roof has been reinforced and topped with a full expanded metal deck welded on for even weight distribution, with fold-down safety railings around the top. A set of fabricated metal steps is permanently attached to one end, adding about 2 feet to the overall length, with removable top stair rails for transport. Inside, the unit is fully configurable. Channels with drilled holes run along the back wall, both side walls, and a center column set 8 feet from the back. Teams can drop 2x6 boards in at different heights to build step-over, duck-under, and climb-through obstacles. Layout options include a full 8x8 box, a split into a 4-foot-wide open area, or a 4x8 enclosure with over, under, or through complications. This lets instructors change up scenarios between evolutions without any permanent modifications. Entry and exit points include a 24" round opening on one door for horizontal rescue, a half-circle opening on the left side for non-entry victim drags, and a 36" roof opening for vertical rescue. Unit weighs 7,300 lbs (calibrated truck scale). No trailer included. Buyer is responsible for pickup with their own truck and trailer, or delivery can be arranged at the buyer’s expense.
