The following rescue equipment is a top listing, please see other items for sale; and feel free to make an offer! Note: The buyer pays shipping or pickup locally. The ARRS 1 is a rare rescue service tool indispensable to technical rescue operations. SET-UP PROCEDURE The ARRS 1 as displayed here is a fully serviceable used rescue system, in excellent physical condition. It has been infrequently used in service to a technical rescue team. The ARRS 1 is being sold in As Is Condition, and comes with the following 100% excellent working components: An AC electric capstan rope hoist/winch, foot switch assembly with AC cord, Class V HD bumper hitch, capstan hitch extension, hitch pins (2), AirShore Art Struts F-7-11 (aka Gin Poles) (2), ART Shore extensions (2), rigging plate (1), pins and locking hardware, 12’ red synthetic rigging straps (2) with D ring connectors for Air Struts (see photos). Will require 4 carabiners. Note, in the capstan graphic, the blue rescue rope, carabiners and prussiks are shown for set up and rigging instruction only, they are NOT included in this sale. AirShore Art Struts (Gin Poles) and Accessories are made in Germany. Safety Notes: 1. Never drop any of the pieces of the ARRS Rescue System, they are highly engineered cast aluminum and steel for safety and precision rescue. 2. When deploying the system, never put weight on the AirShores until they are fully rigged and supported from above (red straps), and hooked to the vehicle overhead anchor points. Serious damage may result if not. 3. Receiver hitch requirements 2" x 2": Minimum Class IV Rated; the elongated black steel bumper hitch is a Class V rated heavy duty anchor point that needs to be structurally welded and secured beneath the rescue vehicle prior to use with the ARRS 1. 4. Ensure all components used with rope rescue system can maintain a 10:1 safety factor at max impact force. DANGER Receiver hitches rated less than 10,000 lbs. (4535 kg) may not withstand a rope impact load while operating the ARRS-1 at its maximum rated force. A hitch failure may result in injury or death. Always mount ARRS-1 to a receiver rated to a minimum capacity of 10,000 lbs. (4535 kg). Specifications: Model Number: ARRS1 Part Number: 942200000001 1 120 VAC Rope Rescue Capstan Winch (1000 lb. Live WLL) 1 AC Foot Switch with orange extension cord 1 Steel Hitch Extension for the Capstan 3 Locking Hitch Pins 1 HD Class V Trailer Hitch Bracket for ARRS, rated at 10,000 lbs. 2 7-11 ft. Telescoping Gin Poles 2 Gin Pole Mounting Brackets 1 Double Gin Pole Rigging Head 2 12’ red synthetic support straps with D ring connectors. Safety Considerations: Always attach tandem prusiks before performing any operation using the rope rescue system. Never operate the hoist without tandem prusiks attached to the load side of the main line. Failure to do so may result in loss of control of the load resulting in injury or death. Never allow rope on capstan to overlap. Overlapped rope will not allow raising or lowering of a load potentially causing injury or death. Be mindful not to overlap while tailing the rope. Single points of failure in rope and hoist systems can cause injury or death of victims and rescue workers by falling. Do not raise or lower a live load without setting appropriate edge protection, belay lines, and separate anchor points. Always assure a second level of safety is established when needed. Avoid operating ARRS-1 under hazardous conditions. Some conditions are, but not limited to, areas that contain liquids, solids, gases, mists, or vapors of any chemical or other material that are flammable or can deteriorate rope. Areas such as these greatly increase the potential for serious injury or death. Always be aware of and avoid environmental hazards at rope rescue sites. Body parts can be crushed by entanglement with rope or rotating capstan. • Avoid loose gloves, clothing, dangling straps, hair, and body parts which may be pulled into the rotating capstan drum. • Stay clear of moving parts on the ARRS-1. • Hold rope in a manner that can quickly be released. • Do not stand on or become wrapped in tailed rope. • Avoid wrapping rope around any body part. • Stop capstan immediately by releasing foot switch before entanglement becomes serious.
