The Air Cart is a Pressure Demand Apparatus, with Cylinders & 100' Feet of Hose line, with new pneumatic tires with air valves for refilling. The Port-Aire™ unit is a portable breathing-air supply system for pressure demand respirators recently discontinued by the manufacturer. The Port-Aire™ system can supply a maximum of two users. It may be used with either low pressure (2216 psig) or high pressure (4500 psig) cylinders. A Quick-Fill™ accessory kit (Whip) also is available as part of a separate Cascade Breathing Air System, which is also for sale, see the full array. The Quick Fill Whip lets a user refill cylinders quickly, or connect to a cascade system or high pressure compressor. This sale comes with the full air cart including an audible alarm which warns users that a cylinder’s pressure has dropped to 500 psig. When the alarm sounds, the second cylinder is opened while the depleted cylinder is refilled or replaced. This is a used unit originally in service with a major US fire organization, then carefully deployed by a technical rescue team. It was used to supply SARs (supplied-air respirators) during entry into confined space. The system has been fully checked out by a certification group, and is in serviceable working condition. The enclosed wrapped air cylinders will eventually require replacement due to issues involving expiry and hydro testing. There are also solid steel cylinders (to be sold in a separate offering), that would work well with the air cart and never be obsolete. Air cart comes with 50 feet of Scott Airline 300psig. The Quick-Fill kit is not permitted with 3000 psig cylinders. Do not fill any cylinder beyond its rated pressure.
