Bombardier SW48 snowcat with plow

1979 Bombardier SW48 compact tracked snow vehicle with front plow. This SW48 is equipped with a Ford inline 6-cylinder 300 gas engine and automatic transmission. The engine runs great. The original fuel tank has been bypassed due to old fuel and a gas can is being used to run it. All drive functions work properly, including forward, reverse, and turning. The battery is 1 year old. The machine includes a 4-way front blade. 6 feet wide and 11 feet long overall. Width at the tracks is 54”. The track cleats are in good condition. The belts have some weathering but overall look good. The sprockets appear to be in good condition, and all solid wheels are in good shape. The cab has surface rust, but it does not appear to be rusted through. The cab sunroof is missing the glass, but the machine has been stored inside and has not been getting wet. All other glass appears to be in good shape. The Bombardier SW48 was commonly used as a compact tracked snow machine for snow removal, sidewalk plowing, trail work, utility access, and other winter maintenance applications. Its compact size makes it useful in areas where a full-size snowcat is too large.
