Because these goggles are over 10 years old they no longer meet the specific safety requirements that the originally states: "Meets ANSI Z87.1 and complis with OSHA regulations for industrial eye protection" Although these goggles may still provide basic safety protection from flying chips and particles we do not recommend you use these google when working with fire or any extreme heat scenario.
