The ISI ARAP (Airline Respirator Apparatus) is a NIOSH-approved, Type-C combination supplied-air respirator ("SAR"), and is used gear in excellent serviceable (As Is) condition. The SAR is designed to protect wearers in hazardous or toxic air atmospheres. Produced by a leading manufacturer, the ARAP series seamlessly blends standard airline breathing with a 5 minute emergency backup cylinder. This sale includes six (6) SARs complete with four (4) face pieces. Each hip-pack comes with five (5) minute auxiliary cylinders, with male industrial air-hose connectors. The two (2) tote boxes with red & green webbing are webbing covered 300 psi airlines, 100 feet each, and are included with their totes in this sale along with the 6 SARs. They are color coded to ensure distinction of each entrant wearing an SAR. The color coded hoses work in conjunction with an Air Cart or Cascade Air System, which is also for sale. The SAR Hip Packs connect via a long hose to a stationary, uncontaminated air compressor or cascade air bank or air cart. Emergency Escape Hip Packs: They include a miniature backup cylinder. If the main air line gets severed or pinched, this emergency pack provides 5 minutes of breathing air to allow the wearer to retreat to a safe zone. We cannot possibly describe every detail of this item and what is in the pictures is included in the sale. Please do not assume something is or is not there. We can provide additional pictures upon request. This item is to be used for its intended purpose. We did our diligence cleaning this item, but this item may still need disinfecting per OSHA, and a good wipe down upon receipt. Safety Standards: The Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA's) respiratory protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.134, covers various types of respirators, including SARs, and includes information on respirator selection for both IDLH and non-IDLH atmospheres, fit testing and seal protection, and respirator training and use. Breathing air quality is also addressed, namely that breathing air shall meet at least the requirements for Grade D breathing air described in American National Standards Institute/Compressed Gas Association Commodity Specification for Air, G-7.1-1989. These requirements address oxygen content and limits on hydrocarbons, carbon dioxide, and carbon monoxide. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health also issues standards and recommendations for respirator use and lists approved models. If you pick up the item, we will leave the tanks full of standard Grade D breathing air; if shipped, we will be required to discharge each cylinder per FMCSA-DOT.
