WSAZ: South Charleston Fire Department Sells Fire Trucks Through Garage

WSAZ reports that the South Charleston (WV) Fire Department sold two fire engines and a ladder truck worth $1.2 million through Garage to fire stations in Illinois and Indiana, with proceeds going toward leasing new trucks. With new engines exceeding $1 million and lead times stretching past two years, Chief Virgil White put it plainly: "It's very cost effective to buy used apparatus at a good price."
