2010 International DuraStar 4300 heavy duty ambulance conversion by Wheeled Coach. Originally purchased and used by an emergency response organization before later being auctioned to a nonprofit entity. Powered by the legendary 7.6L MaxxForce DT pre-DEF diesel engine paired with an Allison push-button 6-speed automatic transmission. Currently showing 251,100 miles. This vehicle was purchased with plans to build a remote scuba-diving expedition camper, but plans changed before the full conversion was completed. The interior remains largely original, preserving the factory emergency-vehicle electrical systems and heavy-duty infrastructure that make ambulance conversions so desirable. Original build cost in 2009 exceeded $325,000. Features & Equipment: • Clean title • 7.6L MaxxForce DT diesel engine (pre-DEF) • Allison push-button 6-speed automatic transmission • XL ambulance box: approx. 8’ wide x 15’ long x 6.5’ high • Interior standing height approx. 6’2” • Air brakes • Block heater • Air ride cab + air ride front seats • Air ride suspension for the ambulance box • Box suspension can be auto or manually dumped for easier rear access • Power windows, locks, mirrors, and wing windows • Tinted windows • New cab radio and speakers • Newly rebuilt air horns • Functional wailing siren • Ice-cold cab A/C • Separate rear box A/C system (currently not blowing cold) • Water-resistant / chemical-resistant interior designed for medical sterilization • Dual 200A alternators • Four 12V batteries • Two onboard battery chargers • Added USB ports, battery meter, 12V accessories, and LED lighting in box • Rear bench folds into a twin bed • Automatic exterior scene lighting when doors open (can be disabled) • Additional motion-activated solar lighting installed on rear doors • 20A and 30A RV shore power inputs integrated into rear bumper • Built-in 1200W inverter • Stainless sink with 12V pump • Exterior propane water heater with shower attachment • Massive interior cabinet storage • Extensive exterior lockable storage compartments • Generator-ready vented compartment with exhaust fan • Refrigerator and microwave included (operate via inverter, generator, or shore power) • 2” receiver hitch with trailer wiring — easily capable of towing heavy trailers Current Condition: This truck is fully drivable and camp-ready AS IS. Known Issues: • One onboard battery charger not functioning • Missing fuse panel cover in cab • Tie rod ends need replacement, causing slight steering play (new parts already purchased and included) If you’ve been looking for a serious ambulance conversion platform, expedition vehicle, race hauler, dive rig, overland build, or off-grid camper base, this is an incredibly capable platform with massive potential.
